This weekend’s big movie turns out to be Despicable Me as pretty much everyone expected however it appears it isn’t quite so big to warrant 3 screens. Despicable Me found itself with 21 million after Friday and should get about 58 million for the weekend. As opposed to the likely second place Eclipse with approximaely 35 million for the weekend. Leaving Predators bringing up third place with about 25 million so all of you who (like me) put 2 screens on Predators, your despair will only increase as Eclipse’s lead expands. And the bonus winner appears to be The Last Airbender as it’s terrible word of mouth catches up to it.
This week we see the summer league standings spreading out a bit as there are more options for the points scored and we see many of the overall top 10 somewhat surprisingly within the summer league top 10.
