Feces. Urine. Puke. Genitalia. Audiences don’t care about 3D immersion, they want crap flying at their face. Hey, it’s better than post-conversion.
Jackass 3D blew past every expectation with an estimated $45 Million opening weekend. Considering the previous series high was a $29 Million start, this is simply amazing.
Red had a solid opening of $20 Million which is likely to make Summit happy until the new Twilight earns them another billion or so. Considering the talent involved this is a bit low, but an action movie about senior citizens isn’t exactly an easy sell to the under 30 set.
As expected, The Social Network, Life As We Know It, and Secretariat rounded out the rest of the top 5.
